According to Beyonce’s good friend, Gwyenth, the child name is actually Blue Ivy Carter, not Ivy Blue Carter as previously reported. 

 Blue is Jay-z’s favorite color and and the name of his historical albums, are called “The BLUEprint.” It’s also the fourth color on the color wheel and has 4 letters! And 4 = IV  = Ivy. 

So welcome to the world, Blue Ivy Carter :)
